Finding the Right Physio and Curing Back Pain
Trying to find the right physio for back pain? We've all been there...

Physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement and improving how your muscles and joints function. For lower back pain, it can ease discomfort, help you return to normal movement, and reduce the chances of the problem coming back. Physiotherapists use a range of hands-on treatments and tailored exercises, alongside practical advice, to help you care for your back long term.
Physiotherapy for Lower Back Pain: What You Need to Know
Lower back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek physiotherapy. Whether your pain has come on suddenly or has been lingering for months, physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement, reducing discomfort, and helping you get back to everyday life with confidence.

⸻
If you arrange physiotherapy yourself, always make sure your physiotherapist is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). This confirms they meet approved professional standards and follow strict codes of conduct.

What Happens at Your First Appointment?.
At JT Football Physiotherapy, Jordan finds the root cause of your back pain so that it disappears once and for all.
To do this, Jordan listens to your story and gathers information such as injury history, what movements make your back pain worse, what movements make it better and then what you want to return to.
You’ll then be asked to do some simple movements. This usually involves looking at how you move, how your spine is functioning, and how your muscles and nerves are working together. To do this properly, you may be asked to remove some outer clothing so your back can be examined. If it helps you feel more comfortable, you’re welcome to bring someone along for support.
During the initial assessment Jordan will explain what he believes is contributing to your lower back pain and outline a recommended treatment plan. The treatment plan will be specific to your dream outcome.
Before you leave, Jordan will outline a step by step plan and explain how many sessions you may need and how often. Some people benefit from a single consultation, while others may need a structured programme over several weeks or months.

Frustrated by the limitations of traditional clinic-based treatment and inspired by the demands of football performance, Jordan launched JT Football Physiotherapy to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and real-world sport requirements. His vision was simple: provide tailored, football-specific care that moves beyond symptom relief to address the underlying physical demands of the sport. Today, he leads a growing practice focused on evidence-based treatment, performance-driven rehab and education for players at all levels.
Jordan brings hands-on expertise in managing a wide range of sports injuries, with a particular focus on football-related strains, sprains, muscle imbalances and movement dysfunctions.
